Patreon? Patreon!

If you follow me on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram… okay, any of my social media, then you know that I recently started a Patreon for my cosplay work.

I’m not unfamiliar with the attitudes directed towards cosplayers (especially lady-presenting folk) who go this route, so I’ve been pleasantly surprised with the amount of support I’ve received for it so far. My decision to create a Patreon was made about two years ago, and since then I’ve been putting in a lot of work behind the scenes to make it ready to go. Even now I consider it about 90% of the way there, so it’ll be a constant work-in-progress as I learn and adapt in this new territory of cosplay content creation.

The primary focus of my Patreon will be craftsmanship and learning resources, since I’m a big fan of paying it forward when it comes to cosplay, with both Patreon and this site working in tandem to deliver content. Nothing I consider to be a teaching resource will be locked behind a paywall—early access will be a patron perk, but after a week it’ll be available here on my site for everyone to view. I also plan to have the drafted garment patterns that will be sold here in my site store available in a library where subscribers will have unlimited access as long as they remain a patron.

Otherwise, I’ll be doing Patreon-exclusive photos of both the regular and ~fanservice~ variety. My highest tier will get access to the more risqué sets, while all patrons will get to see additional photos from public shoots.

I won’t go into all the nitty gritty details here, otherwise I’d just be re-typing what’s on my Patreon page. You can check it out here for more information:

Following is 100% free, so if you’d like to keep up with everything that’s going on then that’s your best bet! Most posts will still be public so you won’t miss out on much. I still want to have some site-exclusive content, so expect to see more long-form writing here while I keep the shorter updates to Patreon. I’d love to get into writing more reviews and editorial-type pieces on conventions and cosplay culture, so expect some fun stuff here in the future.
